Jingle Bells

Well, we survived our first round of holiday traveling. We went to Fisher this year and it was a lot of fun; no bickering or fighting between the family. We had a blast playing Trivial Pursuit: Pop Culture 2. And Avery loved Hallie, Austin's black lab. Unfortunately, my mom was sick so we left earlier than planned today. We wanted to go to Hardy's Reindeer Ranch, but didn't make it. For those of you who may be interested, Hardy's is kind of like the pumpkin patch...except in Christmas mode. It's easily accessible from US Route 136 off I-74 (although it's the most BORING drive...no curves! Trust me!) It's about 8 miles east of Fisher; 2 miles west of Rantoul, so it's also accessible off I-57. The website is www.reindeerranch.com in case you're interested.

On the flip side, we decided to do some Black Friday shopping. Although it was crazy, people were nice (for the most part) and we found some good DVD bargains for $3.99. Nice. I also picked up my indulgence, brand-name shampoo/conditioner/volumizing foam.

We also put up our Christmas lights. It's hard to imagine that there weren't any when Christ was born. :) Our lights are red and white and have candy cane sidewalk markers. If someone could tell me how to upload pics, I'll do it. Tomorrow is the day we put up the tree, listen to Trans-Siberian Orchestra (whom I'll see in Peoria in 2 weeks!) and drink hot chocolate. Mmmm.

I can't believe Christmas is almost here. Woo!

I want to see pictures! When you're typing your post in the box there are a bunch of "buttons" on the top (font size and color, spell check, etc.) If you put your mouse arrow over the little picture (it's of a mountain I think) that will take you to upload your pics. Make sense?
