Ebay and my birthday

My husband was awesome enough to (secretly) put money away and buy me Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets for my birthday. I only found out because I said we should go one day, and he went into our bedroom and brought the tickets out. We really think alike. :)
I'm very excited to go; we don't have that much extra money, so dinner will be at Avanti's (also where our wedding reception was). I decided I wanted to look really nice because I haven't looked really nice since oh, before we got married. (I gained that marriage weight, no doubt.) I have lost 60+ pounds since October 2007 (that includes baby weight) and am almost into my healthy range, so I started looking for nice dresses. Of course, money's tight and so I looked on ebay. I found a gorgeous dress for starting bid of $15.99. I even emailed the seller to see if there was a reserve; she said no! The dress is here below:

The dress was even by Ann Taylor LOFT, a brand I wear often, so I knew it fit. I watched it for 7 days, and....

Got outbid with 32 seconds left. I actually cried, I really wanted this dress and it was a price I could afford. The winning bidder's name was nimrod....yes he (or she) was. Back at square one. I've decided I'm going with a skirt at JCPenney that I can also use for our family holiday pictures on Friday...it's black and silver.

But I really wanted that dress. Granted, Bryon will think I'm a knock-out no matter what I wear, but I just wanted to look really nice.
