I got promoted (twice!) at work.
This all happened about the time my blog fell off the face of the earth. My employer realized rather than paying a lot of money for a long, drawn out search of a replacement that twice didn't work out before, they decided to let me try. I think this is brilliant, not because it's me, but I've worked there for 7 years, know everyone, and everyone knows me so the trust factor was there. I have had the guidance of a few mentors, and have come a long way. Now to remove the "Interim" from my title. :)
Avery participated in her first recital.
Avery may be bold and adventurous, but she hates crowds. So what better way to make her get over her fear than to put her in a ballet recital? I know, I'm pretty cruel. But it totally worked. She rocked that recital. And I cried when I finally got to see her live (I had to stay backstage with her since she's under 5).

It was the summer of waterparks and pools.
I officially have a waterbaby (okay, he's not really a baby anymore...) and Avery took swimming lessons to get over her fear of pools. We had a great family trip to Raging Rivers in Grafton while Jacksonville didn't have any water. (15" of rain in 8 hours will flood your town's sewer system, FYI...)

Avery played soccer for the first time and Brennan FINALLY walked at 19 months.
Brennan is still receiving PT for strength and DT for some issues, but we have our annual meeting with Early Intervention in January 2012 and DT will more than likely be discontinued. Avery finally figured out soccer, and we look forward to Spring season...
Brennan became obsessed with Mickey Mouse and Avery with Rapunzel.
This made for a Disney-filled Christmas and Disney birthday parties in 2012. Yikes.
Bryon and I remain happily married after 7 years. This is the toughest job, I'm telling you. If you don't want to work at marriage, don't ever get married. However, I think we've finally hit our groove and I'm at peace about my life.
Looking forward to 2012...
Avery will turn 5 and start Kindergarten in Fall. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Okay, I think she'll have a blast, but we are still weighing private vs. public schools. Our town has been hit with major economic crises, and the schools are shuffling around. We would like to send her to our private, Catholic school, but it is very pricey. Please pray for us as we fly towards Spring and school open houses!
Brennan will turn 2. So sad, I love him little. :(
I'm resolving to stop cursing in 2012. This will be tough, but it's gotta stop before my kids start in.
I'm also going to try to start running again. We shall see.
2012 is shaping up to be another crazy year that will probably fly by just as 2011 did. I wish time (or I) would slow down a little so I could enjoy more!
