Since my tour is running an hour behind, I figured I have a good moment to sit down and blog a little bit.
Brennan's 4 months old now; he giggles, rolls over, likes to sit in his Bumbo and watch Mickey Mouse with his sister. For some reason, Bryon and I are convinced he is much more advanced at this age than Avery was, but we shall see. He's a good, laid-back baby who rarely cries and loves his rice cereal.
Avery is still Avery. She still has some bouts of jealousy over Brennan, but she loves her brother dearly. As soon as it stops being 105 degrees outside, I think I'm going to teach her how to ride a big girl bike with training wheels. She loves to swim and color and is all about Hello Kitty.
Bryon recently started using a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. I had been bugging him for about 4 years to get this checked out, but I think the kids have had more influence than me. He also had to have oxygen added to the machine, and I think that's scared him enough to get healthy. He's got the belly fat that's so bad for you, and if he started working out regularly, I could see him getting off that machine by the end of the year.
I too, need to work out after seeing pictures from my best friend's wedding. My arms have always been huge, no matter how skinny I am (thanks, Mom), but wow- my midsection needs some toning! I would really like to start running again, but my excuse is the heat...not the temperature you'd like to start a fitness routine in. Even if it starts getting into the 70's around 8:00 pm, I'm game to run then...but I don't want to pass out trying to run around the block.
Speaking of the wedding, it was beautfiul. I'm still bewildered why she picked pink dresses considering purple is her favorite color, but to each their own. It was a hot wedding but we were in a shady area and the ceremony was only 20 minutes long. :)
I also had a friend miscarry her first child. I won't say her name, but I reread some of Bonnie's posts concerning miscarriage to figure out the right words to say. I think I did very well in not harping on "you can always try again..." in fact, I don't think I even mentioned it- the other person did. If you could just say a quick prayer for her and her husband, I would appreciate it.
Work is, well, work. I won't bash it too much ( :) ) because my blog is public, but I think I'm at a crossroads on whether or not this is really the career for me. I really enjoy my job, but hate all the politics that go with it.
I think that's about it. Life is busy right now but I wouldn't want it any other way.
