I now have less than 3 weeks of work left before the baby arrives. As my previous posts put it, I'm anxious and excited and overwhelmed all at the same time. It's the "busy season" at work and I have 250+ students to continue managing, and I have to figure out a way to do so while raising a newborn and toddler/preschooler.
We finally decided on a name, so that's out of the way. His name will be Brennan Edward. Edward is Bryon's middle name (Avery has mine), and it's a family name. Brennan didn't come from anyone....wait, actually it did. I saw a student by the same name on my recruiting list and I really liked it. We had a few other names picked out, but one of the names had already been used 3 times in the past 4 months by local moms and I didn't want all of them to be called ______Z. or whatever.
The room is coming along nicely, I finally started washing everything and remembered why I loved the smell of Dreft. :) I'm just waiting for my mom to come and help me "detail" the house so it's nice and clean and I only have to do minimal maintenance while I'm recovering.
I went to the doctor and I've gained 24 lbs, which isn't much compared to Avery, but I feel healthier (other than my sciatica) and until this week, have had much more energy. I'm still eating like crap, but thank goodness for pre-natal vitamins.
