Sleepyhead

I haven't blogged lately. I've been so busy and tired, all I want to do when I get home is play with Avery and snuggle with her on the couch. She's getting so big. She's also getting very sassy; yelling, "Mine! Mine!" every time we try and put something away. She's also perfected her temper tantrums; I really hope she doesn't pull one out in the store. *sigh*

I'll probably blog some more tomorrow. I'm behind on my housework and Avery needs some structure so she's going to school tomorrow. I'll probably feel guilty about it later, but I desperately need some "me" time.

You shouldn't feel guilty about wanting some "me" time. You deserve it!
And remember, temper tantrums are based on the attention principle. If you ignore them (even in the store), she will learn that it won't get her anything. She will push at first and get worse. But as long as you don't reinforce it in any way, she will learn. Ignore is the chapter I am on in my parenting group I teach right now! :)

I'll be looking to you then for advice!

It cracks me up. I am the only one in the office without any kids and I am the one that has to teach the parenting group. :) I enjoy it though, I just teach what the progam says, not what I believe personally. That way I don't have to be a hypocrite some day, lol.
