Today, I finally put my foot down. Well, sort of...I promised Avery we could go shopping and pay attention to her clothes. Why? Because baby clothes are SO much cuter than hers, and it's really hard to find size 5-6 to look decent on a 3-year old. We succeeded...for the most part. I bought her several long-sleeved t-shirts and a few pairs of pants. Then I bought some bows through a local Peoria vendor because her bows are WAY cuter and WAY, WAY cheaper than I could ever find them. Brennan got a few cute things because he's so skinny he can't fit into his 12-month clothing yet, so we had to hunt for some long(er) pants for the cooler weather.
Brennan's 7 months now and he's started clapping. He refuses to sit up, and really doesn't try to crawl. Avery never crawled so I'm not too worried about that; I just wish he'd give in for the sitting up part so he could experience a whole new world. Luckily, he likes his Bumbo so we can compromise.
Avery's going through a rough patch in Preschool. She has started bypassing naps and likes to run around the room, waking the children up during naptime. Ugh. She's also a big fan of the meltdowns, so we're now getting daily emails from her Pre-K teachers to track any patterns. My guess is that the poor kid is completely screwed up between my and Bryon's travels. I hope it gets better for her soon; she threw a chair two weeks ago...
Bryon loves his new job. He gets to work from home and was given a company car. If anyone wants a good-to-excellent condition 2008 Nissan Rogue with 40K miles, we're selling it for $15,500 to pay off the loan. (I secretly wish that we could get rid of the damn mini-van, but it has a DVD player...)
My job is good; I'm anxious to see where my current role heads. I've been doing some tasks that is higher mangagement and I think people are finally realizing that I know more about the position than they originally thought. At least the consultants realize this..haha
My hyperthryoidism is taking a toll on my body. Right now it is being controlled by anti-thyroid medication, but I have started running a fever off and on, and blood tests have confirmed my white blood cell count is dropping. What this means for me immediately is a weekly visit to the lab for blood draws. What could happen if we don't pay attention is that my body could potentially not be able to fight off sickness or infections, so we are definitely paying attention. At least the specialist told me that my thryoid levels have dropped a little bit. I just hope they can give me a diagnosis...I hate the waiting. Given my symptoms, I most likely have Grave's Disease and it's manageable. Oh, and just in case anyone wants to know...hyperthyroidism does not necessarily equal weight loss as most people think. It is very likely my weight gain (nearly 15 lbs) is due to the increased caloric intake since I can't go 2 hours without eating or else have the shakes and tremors.
Okay, I think I've blabbed on enough about my troubles. Just know that I am thinking about all my friends and constantly praying for you! Have a good night!
